The Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung

With 7,200 square metres of exhibition space, the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung (study collection of military objects) is one of the largest technical exhibitions in Germany. The study collection, founded in 1962, has been located at the Federal Office for Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) since 1982. On display is a wide variety of equipment, weapons systems and uniforms.

To this day it is used for soldier training in the army and also sends visual aids, for example, for the preparation of foreign assignments. Furthermore, the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung also collects devices, equipment and literature that documents the development of military technology.

The study collection is open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm. It is closed between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, as well as on Carnival Monday.
