The history of life on and by the Rhine

The Rhein-Museum

The Rhein Museum Koblenz, founded in 1912, is a cultural historical museum and shows various aspects of life on the Rhine over 1,300 m². Rhine Romanticism or the Neanderthals (early humans on the Rhine) are just as much part of the exhibitions as the development of the Rhine or beginnings of navigation on the Rhine.

The exhibition is not chronologically ordered, but rather divided into “chapters” on the life of the Rhine, just like a book. This allows visitors to consider each room separately - always with the same collective theme.
